When my nipple becomes erect the piercing looks like it is on a diagonal...

e-mail question:
I have my left nipple pierced, which I had done approx 2 to 3 months ago. I have noticed that when my nipple becomes erect the piercing looks like it is on a diagonal. It was not like this when I first had it pierced and was wondering if it is possible that it may have moved slightly. It does not appear to be off center when the tissue is relaxed, only when erect. I have been considering having the other nipple done but am a little concerned due to this point.

e-mail reply:
Breasts change shape with the position you are in, degree of engorgement (which occurs with excitement), and are almost never symmetrical. As much as possible I encourage people to pierce both nipples in the one session in an attempt to make them the same, but even then it does not always work. The fact that your breasts and nipples (one or both) rotate with nipple erection is common. One can only hope that the other breast will behave the same if it is pierced. But there is no guarantee.
