Will nipple piercing affect breastfeeding?

I am a 26 yr old mother considering nipple piercing. I may have more children,
will breastfeeding still be an option?
e-mail reply:
Breastfeeding remains an option. The worst that can happen is for some
milk to spill from the side of the piercing, but an infant properly latched
on the breast will still receive this.
