Will it leave a scar?

Hi, I am 16 and i am researching info on eyebrow piercings. I want to
get my eyebrow pierced, but my mother is worried about it leaving a permanent
scar above my eye once I take out the earring. Will this happen?
e-mail reply:
The simple answer is yes, it will leave a scar. But pimples, cuts and
life all leave scars. If you look after your piercing the scar will be
a small dimple, hardly discernible to most people. Does that really matter?
But as a parent any scar on my beautiful children is too much. On the
other hand, if you have it ripped out by some idiot in a fight then it
will leave an awful scar.
