Can I change my nipple rings with barbells?

When I had my nipples pierced I chose captive rings. I like rings, but
now as I search for new jewelry to adorn myself with, I'm seeing a variety
of choices to choose from and well, for some reason I'm thinking that
just because I had my original piercing done with rings that maybe now
I can't wear the straight barbell designs. I mean now that my piercings
are nearly healed and even though the original piercing was done with
rings, can I wear either or with curves or straight?

I see no problem with choosing to switch to curved or straight bar bells
now. Just be careful to lubricate the jewelry with some almond oil when
you swap jewelry.
