My tongue frenulum was pierced...

I recently came across your website while looking for information on my
new tongue pierecing. I got it piereced yesterday and had the usual swelling
but i do have another question. Before i got the piercing, i told him that
the piece of skin holding down my tongue (i'm not sure what it's called)
was very close to the front of my tongue. He told me that it was fine and
pierced it anyway. Now, when i look at it in the mirror, it looks like the
bottem of the pirecing is going through that piece of skin. I'm not sure
if this is alright or I should take the pirecing out.
