Labia
- The plural of labium, meaning lip. The labia are often called the
lips of the vagina.
- In the female genitalia there are the two round larger outer labia
(labia majora) and two smaller inner labia (labia minora).
- The inner labia are most frequently pierced with rings.
Labret
- A piece of jewelry inserted into the lower lip.
Lavender Oil
- The essential oil of the plant Lavendula
vera.
- Lubricates piercings and is reputed to reduce scar tissue and prevent
tightening.
- Must be used in its diluted form.
- The correct dilution is 10 drops lavender oil in 15mls grapeseed or
sweet almond oil.
Lever 2000 ®
- A readily available brand of antyibacterial soaps containing +-+- triclosan.
- Suitable for piercing aftercare.
Lidocaine
- A commonly available powerful local anaesthetic.
- Chemical formula C14H22N2O.HCl.H2O.
- Called lignocaine outside the USA.
